Hope College benefits immensely from the generous volunteer efforts of experienced pastors who visit and teach modules for our diploma program for Christian leaders. These tutors bring their expertise into the classroom, but you might not realize how much flexibility and versatility these instructors demonstrate as they step into our lives for the week.
Geoff Brown from Chester, England has been with us this past week, teaching Soteriology and the Atonement in the classroom. Geoff brought passion, fullness of heart, and clarity to a vital topic. The students have really appreciated how Geoff has taught the Scriptures and the topic through his experience and example, not just in theory. And in addition, outside the classroom he has also made two special young friends—our daughters Sarah and Elizabeth. We discovered that Geoff is an accomplished musician (as well as a tolerant grandfather at heart), and he and Sarah enjoyed making music together.

What a blessing
Can’t wait to hear them play music again. Every time I hear 10,000 reasons I think of your family worshiping together. \o/ Have a great week.

Here’s a chance to see Sarah playing her violin, doing a duet with Geoff Brown while he was visiting with us.
Awwww and wow.looks like she really enjoys playing. My fav pic is the one with Geoff outside on chair. Looks like beautiful surroundings. Everything so green, etc. Wonder if Sarah feels like I do learning how to use this computer thing. Feel I’m getting pretty good at it too.
I liked the video…..and the picture of Sarah with her hand on Geoff’s bald spot….so cute! I saw the picture on the other blog (I think) of her teaching Geoff how to play the violin…..what a multi-talented little girl she is!
