Building work, student dinner, even a new baby—just a full weekend in Lusaka!
On Friday, all of us at the College said farewell to Scott Lencke, who had been teaching throughout this past week. Such a good visit and great contributions from Scott!
On Saturday morning, I was able to participate with some of the brothers at Fountain of Life church making progress building toilet partitions for their new bathrooms.
Then we had a group of the Hope College diploma students over to our home for dinner. There were twelve of us in all…which was convenient since we have twelve plates! What a special and delightful time we shared. Not only were our friends very appreciative of Karen’s cooking (“You have delivered us from cabbage!”, one exclaimed), but we also shared a sweet time of worship together.
On Sunday, we enjoyed worship and fellowship with Fountain of Life, and in the afternoon had the joy of going with friends to visit a newborn baby girl! She was discharged from the hospital three hours postpartum, so our girls got to see a truly newborn baby as we joined in bringing her home.
